Face Fit Test Fit2Fit accredited
It is a legal requirement that workers who wear tight-fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) must undergo face-fit testing conducted by a competent person in accordance with HSE standards, as required under COSHH regulations.
Our Fit2Fit-accredited testers can attend your offices, construction sites, or factory premises, helping to minimise disruption and reduce employee downtime.
With over 20 years of industry experience, our team ensures a smooth and professional process. In addition to conducting the fit test, we provide guidance to help employees understand how to achieve an effective face seal, giving them the best possible chance of achieving successful Face-Fit certification.
Where RPE is used as a control measure, the selected RPE must be adequate and suitable. Any tight-fitting RPE must be fit tested, as people come in all shapes and sizes, it is unlikely that one type of respiratory facepiece will fit everyone. Fit testing helps ensure the selected equipment is suitable for the wearer.
The HSE estimates that 15,000 people die prematurely each year in the UK from Occupational Cancers. They consider all these deaths preventable with better education and awareness. Occupational Cancers include Asbestosis, Silicosis, Mesothelioma, Emphysema, COPD, Industrial Asthma, and many other lung-related diseases.
By having your RPE fit-tested by a Fit2Fit-Accredited provider, you can be confident it is fit for purpose and likely to protect your employees' long-term health. We are fully accredited by Fit2Fit.
Quantitative Face Fit Testing
This is an ambient particle method of face-fit testing, whereby a fit factor is provided that determines the performance of the face seal of a respirator.
All tight-fitting disposable respirators can be face-fit tested by this method. Specifically, full-face masks can only be tested by this method.
