Face Fit Test (Fit2Fit accredited)

It is a legal requirement that workers wearing tight fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) should be face fit tested by a competent person to the HSE standard. This requirement is detailed in the COSHH regulations.

Where RPE is used as a control measure, the selected RPE must be adequate and suitable. Any tight fitting RPE must be fit tested  as people come  in all shapes and sizes, it is unlikely that one type of respiratory facepiece will fit everyone, therefore fit testing helps to ensure that the equipment selected is suitable for the wearer.

The HSE estimates that 15,000 people die prematurely each year in the UK from Occupational Cancers. They consider all these deaths preventable with better education and awareness. Occupational Cancers include Asbestosis, Silicosis, Mesothelioma, Emphysema, COPD, Industrial Asthma, and many other lung-related diseases.
